This inexpensive tool will make all the difference in the world!

The Chip Brush

By far the cheapest faux tool on the market and one of the most important in creating your professional looking finish!

As explained in this  Blue Tape article, taping your edges is a key ingredient in producing a professional finish.  In some cases i cannot get my rag, bag or other faux tool into the corners or up to the tape line.  The eye is drawn to this area which detracts from the finish.

It is important to have any finish come right up to all trim, corners and ceiling lines!

This is where the chip brush comes into play!

I use this inexpensive tool to lightly color in the small gap that is created when the tool you are using is too bulky.  It is not so important to have the finish match exactly in texture as is it to have some color present so the eye is not drawn to the edges!

I Repeat - Dont worry if the finish of your bagging does not exactly match the finish where you used your chip brush...no one will notice but you!

The important thing to remember is that less is better!
